Moving to a new home and a discount on moving

What a week it's been with moving in to a new home, packing and un-packing and finally making this my new home. New life as a single mom of three, bring it on!! *This blog post has ads.* Moving discount at Offerilla I started packing a week before my actual move which was the right choice with three kids and also I'm a working mom so time was limited. I wanted a moving firm to come and help me with mostly my furniture but also boxes and therefore I checked through major moving firms. The cost of moving kids beds, a kitchen table with four chairs, patio furniture and all the boxes varied from 400-1200€ euros. That was way more than my stuff cost since I didn't have a couch or a bed with me in my old home (those were delivered brand new from other places). So I googled some more and checked Offerilla  and they actually had a quite a few different deals under "Palvelut/Services" section. I chose 2 hour moving with two movers and a big truck from a firm called KokoRe

Old house sold, new house in sight and other divorce related news

Image
So much going on in my life right now and for starters, our old house is sold and I placed an offer on a house (apartment) yesterday. Wish me luck it'll go through!! So exciting for sure and what makes it even more exciting is that this new two-bedroom apartment is located in another town so it really is a new start. I'm not very good at waiting for things to happen as I keep wondering, when the sellers will say yes or no. I just cant wait!! Divorce proceedings So as we filed for divorce back in august right after summer vacation and I returned to my old job, things have changed a lot since then. It's been really tough living in the same house (that we just sold but are still allowed to live there until the end of this year) and listening to my soon-to-be-ex's complaints about ending our marriage. And after listening to that for weeks and moving to another small apartment (week-to-week kinda thing), he finally agreed on the divorce and how it was inevitable it was the

New beginnings

Image
Fall is here and new beginnings hit our family big time: year-long battle with continuing our marriage or not has come to an end, and divorce is on the way. It's sad, obviously with three kids in the family, but we as parents are doing the best we can to be the best parents we can be. That's life.  So what we're going through right now, is putting our house on the market and seeing multiple realtors - it's hard work!! Good thing is that I think we agreed on the one we're selecting and that's obviously a relief. Not only is our divorce in process,  there's so much paperwork that needs to be done that I have to admit there have been a few nightless nights..Right now I'm glad we're agreeing and finally seeing things eye-to-eye which makes things a bit easier. We're getting along pretty well since there are no fights anymore (for now) and the atmosphere at home is better. We've also decided we're gonna move close to one another because of

Back to work and looking for new home with best homeloan

Image
Hey everyone! Back to normal It's already mid-august and I've been back to work for a week now, wow! So I guess this blog's emphasis is now more on work instead of babies :) It does feel good to be back at work and have something for just myself - even though I loved being a stay-at-home mom but still - everyone needs a break every now and then, right? What's coming up this fall too (I hope) is a new home for our family: we desperately need more rooms since our family's grown and we now have pre-schooler in our household who already needs his own space.  But with this corona-time and the lack of decent houses we have time to look for that special one and while doing that, we have time to find the best homeloan we can possibly find :)  * This blog post contains an ad*. Finding the best homeloan Finding the best homeloan for your family is tricky and time-consuming. First to apply to several different banks and fill out long applications to even get noticed and be ab

Kid-friendly family vacation in Finland

Image
Hey there! What a hot week it's been so far as temperatures rise up to 30 degrees - in Finland! Not bad at all we'll be vacationing mainly in Finland this except for the short trip to Estonia next month. (Read more about that trip here . We just booked a cabin for a week through  Lomarengas  and I could not be happier! Mid-summer at grandparents cabin  The cabin is just 2 hours away from my in-laws cabin, where we happened to spent the mid-summer festival last weekend. Or let me just call it a normal weekend with the family, not so much a festival ;) it was the first time since corona-limitations we've actually spent time with the grandparents again. And they're huuuuge help for us, no doubt about it!! So next month we're going back to their cabin, which is about 3 hours away from our home, to spend a few days there. It's awesome there with kids: they can swim all day, go fishing and just run around naked all day long :) Grandparents also make all the meals whic

Summer vacation ideas with Ikaalisten matkatoimisto

June is here and it's time to think about summer vacation ideas in Finland and in baltics.  Ikaalisten matkatoimisto  has once again the best valued summer vacation and in general travel ideas for my family, mainly in Estonia since we're not  travelling far away from Finland this summer. We've usually stayed in Tallinn in a spa-hotel which is perfect with kids. There aren't too many outdoor playgrounds in Tallinn but our kids need activities and therefore a spa with kiddy pools are a must :) and mommy & daddy like Estonia so it's a match ;) Ikaalisten matkatoimisto  Ikaalisten matkatoimisto has many spa-hotels in their selection varying from family-friendly to more luxurious ones, and our top-choice over the years has been Meriton conference & spa hotel. We always travel to Estonia via a ferry so it's either a Viking Line or Silja Line and it takes usually from 2-3 hours from Helsinki to Tallinn. Meriton conference & spa hotel is about 30 min walk fr

Jewellery from Kulta-center

It's that time of year graduation and other parties take place, and many people like to buy jewellery as a gift.  Kulta-center  has a wide selection on jewellery and now you can easily order gifts from their online store.  My favorite jewellery  I haven't ordered anything jewellery-wise in a long time except for my Tommy Hilfiger hand-watch I ordered 4 years ago. That was my gift to myself for having a second child :) before that I got married 7 years ago and obviously my most expensive and important jewellery are my engament & wedding rings. I've been promised for a third ring hence 3 kiddos but I just don't know what I want :) yes, tough decisions ;) Even before those, graduation gifts and "meaninful" jewellery are still very important to me. Such as my golden necklace my older brother gave to me when I graduated from high school way back when.  Kulta-center selection for different occations What I need right now is that third ring, white gold or platinu

Offerilla summer deals

Image
Good morning! *This post contains an ad because I am doing some affiliate marketing on this blog* Offerilla travel ideas in Finland Summer is just around the corner and many - including myself & my family - are starting to plan our family vacation. This year it will be different and we'll be spending it in Finland because of the virus.  Offerilla  has services, including travel & accommodation, for a discounted price. My favorite is a chalet cabin in Sappee for 2 nights in a somewhat luxurious cabin with a private sauna, kitchen area and a separate bedroom. Sappee isn't too far from Helsinki where we live which is nice since long drive with 3 kiddos isn't much fun :) With this deal we thought about travelling more in mid-Finland at hubby's parents cabin. Maybe few nights there and few at some hotel nearby.  Summer in Finland is so pretty with nightless nights, beautiful nature and fresh air. It doesn't get too hot here at almost ever which is something we pr

Lindex discount on womens clothes and swimwear

Image
Are you looking for new summer clothes, especially womens clothes and swimwear? I am since my wardrobe desperately needs an update and swimwear is one of those :) but hurry up, this wont last for too long.  Lindex    Lindex  has a 20% discount on selected womens clothes and swimwear so go check that out! To be quite honest, after 3 kiddos I really need a swimsuit since I don't feel comfortable enough wearing a bikini. The only problem is that I haven't found a good one yet. We do spend a lot of time outdoors on the beach or a spa (when ever this virus will go away and we get to do that again), and covering my belly is a must :) my other option is a tankini paired with black bottoms.  Self-quarantine continues   Schools and day care centers opened for almost everyone today as we're trying to go back to normal here in Finland. We decided to keep the kids at home until the end of may as I'm a stay at home mama and therefore we're not in a hurry to go back. To be hones

Happy mother's day!

Hey everyone and happy mother's day to all celebrating it, in one way or another :) Mine has been spent outdoors as always spending time with my family. I made a little cake this morning filled with strawberries and cream, and it's all gone already :) so nothing special yet so very special to me <3  Self-quarantine continues We're still in self quarantine at home, going outdoors to new parks a little more and by doing that, slowly returning to normal life. Being extra careful with washing our hands multiple times and not licking everything we see (the kiddos, not me!!) In Finland, schools and day care centers are returning back to normal next thursday but we decided to keep the kids at home this whole month. They go back to day care in june and then again stay home all july. We're in no hurry to go back, daddy still works from home and I kinda like this. Keeping my loved ones near me :)

Home delivered food

Hey everyone! Day 1234567 (or something like that) on self-quarantine and still going strong :) After realizing I'm officially done with cooking the same meals, it was time to try home delivered food. I ordered mine from Wolt and I gotta say, I was impressed! It took 30 mins to order them, seeing the delivery process real-time on my app and finally got it delivered on my front-door. So easy!! Plus, the food at the local chinese restaurant "Tung Hing" in Espoo was yummy! Do you guys order food, delivered home? I love nepalese food, I always have and chinese food is a strong competitor :) sushi's one of my favorites too and every now and then pizza steals my heart :D If you want to try on new foods, especially now home delivered and on budget, you should try  Offerilla  and their wide selection of different restaurants. Hope everyone's safe and happy :)

Esittelyssä Sannan ruokakassi

* this post contains an ad and it's only in finnish *. Heippa kaikille!

Ordering food, clothes and toys online during self-quarantine

Image
Hey everyone from self-quarantine day 1234567890! Or something like that - at least that's how it feels like right now ;)  * This post contains ads.* No kidding or joking about it for sure since it's very important for everyone to stay home and stay healthy in self-quarantine but man it does feel like forever! Especially with kids around wanting to go play to indoor play-areas and not wanting to go out and play - it's a constant battle. Daddy's still working remotely from home, just like so many other mom's and dad's (kudos to you!!) Kids could go to day care, as it's not forbidden but highly recommended to stay at home, and for now this suggestion here in Finland goes all the way until may 13. We'll see how this goes, and if kids are recommended to go back to day care this spring at all. I've gathered here some fun links so you can buy stuff online and that way make life a bit easier: to order food, find new clothes and toys :) Matsmar

Our daily schedule with 3 kids during self-quarantine

Hey  everyone! What a week it's been with our three kiddos! Daddy's working from home with conference calls, kiddos going nuts and needing all kinda activities :) seriously, it's gone by fine with a strict schedule: they all wake up at 6am, big boys go downstairs to play and adults & toddler can sleep until 6.30 (yay!) Then breakfast for everyone, maybe some cartoons and by 8am we're all ready to go out and play. Except for daddy, of course ;) Thank god for this awesome spring weather, it's been so easy to take the kids out with their bikes and to explore the neighbourhood. Three hours of playing outside while daddy gets to work inside in quiet & peace, we come back for lunch at noon. We always have snacks with us so they wont be starving and we get to play outside for a bit longer. It works, they eat, littlest one naps for three hours and big boys can play, do crafts and I get to rest for a bit. Without all that exercise in the morning they'd be all o

Self-quarantine and Microsoft products

Good morning, everyone! * this blogpost contains an ad with Microsoft / kaupallinen yhteistyö Microsoftin kanssa ". Self-quarantine continues in our family, as for many other families as well. This may cause anxiety for some as shopping malls and overall every place is closed due to the virus and thefear of catching it. Microsoft products Our way of surviving it: videogames & apps for kids to keep them entertained, and good equipment for hubby who's working from remotely from home office.  Microsoft  has a wide variety of equipment & entertainment for all ages from XBOX to Microsoft 365 and to one of the most talked about for remote work: Teams. Two of my oldest sons play Minecraft and Fortnite too much so xbox is their thing andin use ALL THE TIME. Everone keeps talking about great remote work products since everyone is working remote ATM and tjose products will need to work. So here's my tips for today to get through yet another quarantine filled day. Fo

Self-quarantine day 3: disinfecting cleaning at Offerilla

Good morning! *this post contains an ad with Offerilla / kaupallinen yhteistyö Offerillan kanssa". Disinfecting cleaning at Offerilla  Day 3 at Self-quarantine has started and so far we're healthy and haven't catch the virus. We've been cleaning the house non-stop for a week now - despite the fact we're ok but just to keep germs outta house. That's been easy to accomplish since the kids have been at the daycare during the day but that's slightly changed now with us all being in the house 24/7.  Offerilla  has every household's dream deal - a 3 hour  disinfecting cleaning  for 69€! Wohoo, that should clear all the viruses and germs away :) Check out the link to see where it applies. This is valid for 6 months so no needto hurry up what comes to using it - you have plenty of time :) I think this ones a keeper and def wort trying if this would positively affect on your health. Corona virus quarantine begins here and things to make it better

Image
Hey everyone! What a week it's been so far and it's only tuesday!! My kids are off from daycare starting today and I'm here to share some activities for people experiencing the same. Yesterday we headed to a park nearby and we were the only ones there - I guess people are horrified of going anywhere these days. My bigger boys like to play video games which is something they can do for now, just to keep them from fighting 24/7 ;) My youngest son naps everyday for 2-3 hours and is currently free from ear-infection , yay! I keep having nightmares of catching that awful virus and every single symptom I have I google. Awful!! We do read a lot (thank god for having so many books at home cause the libraries are closed), play games, play with legos and other toys, or just go running outside to get rid of all that excess energy boys seem to have. We love sauna, light the fireplace all the time and just sit here and wait for the better times to arrive :) So here are some of my

Sick child, Reima outerwear and working mama - quite the combo!

Hey everyone!  It's been a while since I've posted anything but that's because we've literally been sick from january until now :( To be more spesific, my youngest one has been sick with stomach flu, flu and now with earinfection - in his both ears!! He's been up all nite long since it's been too hard to sleep through the night, poor little one. Luckily after been in and out of health center, which did nothing good in trying to find out what's wrong with him, we finally got an insurance for him and took him to a private doctor's. Now he's already feeling so much better, thanks to this super-talented doctor :) I hate when my kids are in pain! Outerwear at Reima  Sorry about a whiny start on this post! Other than being sick for weeks, it's been raining almost all the time which is not fine. Thank god for online shops like  Reima  who offer the best quality outer wear for kids, my older kids have so far stayed healthy (fingers crossed that

Bugaboo sales at Babyshop!

Hey everyone! * this blogpost contains an ad*. It's been a very dark and wet january in Finland. Absolutely no snow in sight which mskes this january feel even longer :( To make it brighter, I did some shopping and bought myself a new stroller: no other than Bugaboo buffalo as second hand purchase. They don't make that model anymore and I really wanted that so I bought one. Bugaboo discount And as soon as I had bought it, the Bugaboo mania hit me. I had to have all kinds of accessories cause they're brilliant for sure. Lucky me, now I don't have to chase all things second hand because  Babyshop  has a very short discount today on selected Bugaboo stuff! Yay!!!! For example Bugaboo organizer is for sale for little more than 40€ (normally 55€ at most places). And I gotta say, this organizer is by far the best ever!! So roomy that it's the only bag I carry these days, looks great and attaches easily on the handle bar. Bugaboo fox and donkey frame are at discou

Happy new year 2020 and Viking Line trip to Stockholm!

Image
Hey everyone, it's new year 2020!! How are you all? New year and getting back to normal  I'm doing good; 2/3 of my boys returned back to day care today and I gotta say I enjoyed some quiet time with my youngest son after all that craziness ;) We did some necessary grocery shopping (haven't been able to do that since all of them were home 24/7), ate an un-healthy lunch at Hesburger (I'll start dieting next week..some year ;)) and then walked home while baby fell asleep. That walk was necessary since my back been aching and I really hope it wont get to the point I can't move or get out of bed cause that has happened before and it's no joke then. Anyway, just a regular day but I really enjoyed some down time. It's a 24/7 job taking care of 3 boys, I'm telling you! Going back to work or starting a new business? I'm still not sure what's happening with me going back to work and when since I found out my old job doesn't exist anymore. I
