Summer vacation ideas with Ikaalisten matkatoimisto

June is here and it's time to think about summer vacation ideas in Finland and in baltics. Ikaalisten matkatoimisto has once again the best valued summer vacation and in general travel ideas for my family, mainly in Estonia since we're not  travelling far away from Finland this summer. We've usually stayed in Tallinn in a spa-hotel which is perfect with kids. There aren't too many outdoor playgrounds in Tallinn but our kids need activities and therefore a spa with kiddy pools are a must :) and mommy & daddy like Estonia so it's a match ;)

Ikaalisten matkatoimisto

Ikaalisten matkatoimisto has many spa-hotels in their selection varying from family-friendly to more luxurious ones, and our top-choice over the years has been Meriton conference & spa hotel. We always travel to Estonia via a ferry so it's either a Viking Line or Silja Line and it takes usually from 2-3 hours from Helsinki to Tallinn. Meriton conference & spa hotel is about 30 min walk from the harbour with kids (without kids 15 mins or about 5-10 min taxi  ride). We like this hotel because it's clean, rooms are nice and spacious, and the spa has a good enough spa / pool area and different kinds of saunas. It has a few different restaurants and their buffet breakfast is great. I don't know how they'll gonna arrange the breakfast this year due to the virus - we'll see then!

Our summer vacation plans

All in all, I love Estonia, Tallinn, it's atmosphere and food! :) it's a fun place to visit for sure :) other than this short trip to Estonia, we're staying in Finland.  We're gonna stay at a cabin by the lake for a week, another cabin for another week, take the kids to Linnanmäki amusement park in Helsinki and a zoo which is also in Helsinki. I hate strict vacation plans and as a family of five, it's almost impossible. What if we catch the virus in Estonia, where our summer vacation begins, and then have to cancel everything? That would be awful - not only financially but mentally & physically too what comes to our well being and health.  Health is our number 1 priority this summer and I'm sure that time will come when we can really start travelling again. I'm not really worried about catching the virus in any specific country rather tgan from Finland - I just don't know what I'd do if I catch it somewhere far from home, not being able to take care of my kids and then how would I be able to get back home? Yes, the virus is very scary to me and I never wanna catch it (ok, who does?!) Now I've spoken :D

All in all, hope everyone's doing good and getting in that summer vacation mode. Vacation isn't supposed to be stressful - actually quite the opposite so let's not let the virus spoil our summer vacation and travel planning :)
