Affordable Sappee family vacation with Offerilla

Image
Hey everyone! Gosh, time goes by fast - it's been almost a month since my last blogpost. We travelled here in Finland this past month so I guess that always makes busy daily life even busier with planning the vacation and going to the actual vacation. With kids life is always busy but not complaining! :) That being said, here's a short look on the Sappee vacation. * In collaboration with Offerilla (this post contains ads)*. Sappee and Offerilla  With the pandemic going on, travelling is still very important to our family. Being stuck at home a lot as I still work remotely and not being able to see people a lot, it's so important to make sure we can arrange something fun for our family every now and then. That's why we decided to head to Sappee  for two nights which offers skiing hills and other outdoor stuff for especially families. It's about 2 hour drive from Helsinki which is just perfect for us since our youngest son naps and that gives him the perfect timing f...

Moving to a new home and a discount on moving

What a week it's been with moving in to a new home, packing and un-packing and finally making this my new home. New life as a single mom of three, bring it on!! *This blog post has ads.* Moving discount at Offerilla I started packing a week before my actual move which was the right choice with three kids and also I'm a working mom so time was limited. I wanted a moving firm to come and help me with mostly my furniture but also boxes and therefore I checked through major moving firms. The cost of moving kids beds, a kitchen table with four chairs, patio furniture and all the boxes varied from 400-1200€ euros. That was way more than my stuff cost since I didn't have a couch or a bed with me in my old home (those were delivered brand new from other places). So I googled some more and checked Offerilla  and they actually had a quite a few different deals under "Palvelut/Services" section. I chose 2 hour moving with two movers and a big truck from a firm called KokoRe...

Offerilla summer deals

Image
Good morning! *This post contains an ad because I am doing some affiliate marketing on this blog* Offerilla travel ideas in Finland Summer is just around the corner and many - including myself & my family - are starting to plan our family vacation. This year it will be different and we'll be spending it in Finland because of the virus.  Offerilla  has services, including travel & accommodation, for a discounted price. My favorite is a chalet cabin in Sappee for 2 nights in a somewhat luxurious cabin with a private sauna, kitchen area and a separate bedroom. Sappee isn't too far from Helsinki where we live which is nice since long drive with 3 kiddos isn't much fun :) With this deal we thought about travelling more in mid-Finland at hubby's parents cabin. Maybe few nights there and few at some hotel nearby.  Summer in Finland is so pretty with nightless nights, beautiful nature and fresh air. It doesn't get too hot here at almost ever which is something we pr...

Home delivered food

Hey everyone! Day 1234567 (or something like that) on self-quarantine and still going strong :) After realizing I'm officially done with cooking the same meals, it was time to try home delivered food. I ordered mine from Wolt and I gotta say, I was impressed! It took 30 mins to order them, seeing the delivery process real-time on my app and finally got it delivered on my front-door. So easy!! Plus, the food at the local chinese restaurant "Tung Hing" in Espoo was yummy! Do you guys order food, delivered home? I love nepalese food, I always have and chinese food is a strong competitor :) sushi's one of my favorites too and every now and then pizza steals my heart :D If you want to try on new foods, especially now home delivered and on budget, you should try  Offerilla  and their wide selection of different restaurants. Hope everyone's safe and happy :)

Good morning! *this post contains an ad with Offerilla / kaupallinen yhteistyö Offerillan kanssa". Disinfecting cleaning at Offerilla  Day 3 at Self-quarantine has started and so far we're healthy and haven't catch the virus. We've been cleaning the house non-stop for a week now - despite the fact we're ok but just to keep germs outta house. Wohoo, that should clear all the viruses and germs away :) Check out the link to see where it applies. Edullinen hustenleikkaus Espoossa / haircut offer in Espoo

Mukavaa torstaita kaikille! No niin minäkin, et...

Syyslomalle tekemistä: Woltti-trampoliinipuisto/ Fall vacation @Woltti trampolin park

Image
Aurinkoiset terveiset Kreikasta! * This blogpost is in Finnish because it contains an ad that applies only in Helsinki, Finland * Sillä aikaa kun meidän perhe viettää ansaittua ja kovin odotettua syyslomaa Kreikassa, Rodoksella niin katse kääntyy jo kotiinpaluuseen ja syyslomaan.

Syysloma ja Lomarengas - Fall vacation with Lomarengas

Image
Good morning, dear readers! * this post includes an ad * September is quickly turning to october, and most people - at least here in Finland - like to do something special on their fall vacation. Not everyone wabt to fly outside the country but instead have a vacation in Finland and enjoy the beautiful fall colours. For that there's  Lomarengas  and the best part is that tgey have good quality cabins all over Finland. This year we're actually flying to Greece on fall vacation since we did this Finland vacation-thing this past summer. All I gotta say is that these cabins are worth taking into deep consideration. I love the cooler but not cold weather, hikes up north, picking berries, fishing and just spending time with the family. My kids are 100% outdoorsy kinda people, as in they love to explore the nature and that fresh air does some magic to their heads ;) they sleep like babies (or like middle-aged men :D) so thats another great reason for this kinda vacation. Anyone wit...

Winter vacation deal in Taikatalvi (Finland) in February

Image
Winter vacation is on its way, and in most cities here in Finland it usually starts from week 8. If you still don't have any plans for that week and your kids are out of school/day care that week (like us), here's a rather cheap alternative for that 'what to do' -question: a holiday for a family (2 adults and 1-2 kids) in  Finland in Taikatalvi . The staff speaks english so in case you want to visit Muumimaailma next summer, this is something I'd highly recommend for you :) This works only in Finland (obviously, it is in Finland ;)) but this would be super-fun for everyone travelling to Finland to see the Moominworld - a definite adventure for both kids and adults. Here's the official text with rules etc. in Finnish borrowed from Offerilla's site which is the organization that sells this deal: "TARJOUS Muumimaailman Taikatalvi -perhelippu (2 aikuista ja 1-2 lasta), majoitus ja aamiainen 139€ EHDOT Lahjakortti on voimassa 18.2.2017-26.2.2017 ...

Christmas is on the way, x-mas party and a cruise to Stockholm

Good afternoon, everyone!  I can't believe it's less than 2 weeks until it's x-mas!! Yikes, I'm not done with shopping and all the other preparations are sorta..not done either. Oh well, no panic and it'll go smoothly as always :) This week is a fun week filled with a visit to my workplace with my tiniest boy, a christmas party at my older son's day care (I love christmas parties) and then a cruise to Stockholm in Sweden and back. If you're interested in going there and see the royals ;) check out Booking   which is a site that has great deals on hotels and airfare. Anyway, we're going on a cruise from friday night to sunday morning and I gotta say, that's the best way of travelling with kids. I mean, there's a playroom for my toddler and a place to feed my baby at the same time plus I can have a coffee during that time. Perfect! Besides, kids are usually tired from all that playing so that's always a bonus, and I don't need to go an...

Sunny sunday, finding a new hobby for the fall and some Offerilla offers

Good evening! What an awesome sunday it's been: it was so warm I could actually wear my t-shirt and I was still sweating! And it's already september. Love this weather!!  So baby and I went for a little stroll and we found an outside flea market not too far from home and of course I did find something for the boys. I had my new (used) Bugaboo Frog-stroller with me and I actually put the baby in it but, as always, he didn't like the stroller. Yep, he's a carrier/sling -kinda baby that's how we really strolled ;) He just doesn't like to be put in the stroller so (suprisingly) my both double stroller (Easywalker) and my Bugaboo are on sale :D I know.. And it's funny because our toddler, you know my oldest son just loved sleeping in the stroller when he was a baby and he didn't like the carrier/sling at all. Talk about differences! And don't worry, I still have a travell stroller so I wont be totally stroller-less. Anyway, I started thinking about ...

New flea market found and a tip of the day

It's new week again, and baby and I went for a walk to a somewhat nearby flea market. I have to say, I was (or went to) in heaven!! So many good quality baby clothes for such a low price - I dont see the point in paying lots of money for baby clothes since the baby will wear them for such a short time. And I'm talking about 20 cents per piece :) And I also found a sling to carry my baby which I really needed. My baby sleeps ok in the stroller but since he was born prematurely he loves to cuddle and stay really close to me so I had to buy one. And again, for a bargain price of 5€ :) Normal price is somewhere 50-60€ so I did great! Other than that, we've been getting to know the baby: meaning, we've been staying at home a lot, taking naps together, going for walks..just the way I wanted. Nothing too stressful for anyone. Tip of the day My mom brought me a new copy of this finnish baby Magazine "Vauva" (which is baby in finnish). So they had some tips for...

Stomach flu..again and Offerilla online shopping

Yes, it's time for stomach flu..again, and this time the victim is little L :( Poor little guy - he can't eat anything and he missed his spring party today at day care. We were just heading to the day care center to see him and other children at his group perform but unfortunately we missed it. Well, this is how life is with little children. Hopefully this one will be over soon and I hope I wont get it this time. It was awful last time I had it..not fun and especially not fun for pregnant woman! And I hope I wont get it this time since time is literally running out for me: I'll start my maternity leave in less than four weeks so I basically can't be out from work before that. Too embarrassing or something!! Offerilla So if you're interested in some online shopping, like I am, you should check out  Offerilla   and see what they have to offer you. This works only in Finland (at least for now), in different cities and it's formerly known as Groupon. They have o...

New (short) work week ahead and new discount codes

Image
Hello everyone! It's a new work week ahead and seems like it's gonna be a sunny one, as well as short one - I have friday off :) Wednesday we have a team day which means we'll be working at a hotel in Helsinki - and having a big breakfast and lunch - perfect for a pregnant lady ;) And also fun to have the whole team at one place since we don't all see each other that often. I'm also getting back to the normal work week what comes to hours, and from next week on, I'll be working 100% again until my maternity leave begins in june. Makes life easier work-wise and also financially - let's all keep our fingers crossed that my husband will find a new job and soon :) I helped him this past weekend on the job hunt and found one potential one & he also applied for it, so..let's hope for the best. At least I can't blame him for not trying! Shopping and discount codes Yes, it's always good to think about shopping and what you need and if, in many...

Weekend, Hullut päivät: day 3 & Offerilla

Image
Hi everyone! It's finally friday, yay! I worked at my home office today because I had some writing to do which required some major focusing on - and I'm done :) We also found out that we wont be granted for a new loan, because of my husband's work situation, so that's it for now :( I'm not that surprised but hopefully things will get better soon and we'll be able to move - we desperately need a bigger place! I have to say I'm a bit disappointed since I was really looking forward going to that open-house I wrote about yesterday. Anyway, that's life. Shopping So in the meantime, lets focus on some shopping with great offers. That usually makes me feel better :) It's day three at Stockmann and Hullut päivät -shopping spree and lot's of good stuff for great price. Also another one is Offerilla and their offers. I just received my daily letter from them and here's one I found interesting: a makeover for your hair here in Helsinki. You can u...

Sunday & pics from our Tahko vacation

Image
Good morning! What a great day L and I had yesterday at my parents house. It was super sunny all day long and we went for a walk without a stroller and just played & explored new things outside. L is still sleeping so it must have been a fun day for him too - that usually tells it :) I promised to share some pictures from our Tahko vacation. And to those who aren't familiar with Tahko, check this site out. So here they are: Our "little" cabin - it doesn't actually look that big but it was :) That's little L ready to go and play at the park :) Our diningroom area / living room - picture taken upstairs You could see the slopes from our backyard :) Luckily they still had snow (but overall it was so quiet after easter) Offers If you're interested in taking great pictures, Offerilla  has an offer in Helsinki for getting great photos in a Studio Elite - at a really low price, of course. Or if you're interested in ge...

Blog post in Finnish: Offerilla & vietä enemmän aikaa perheesi kanssa - palkkaa siivooja!

Hello! Back in business again and f eeling relaxed after easter-break in Tahko skiing resort :) We arrived back to our apartment late last night (yes, our apartment!) and spent a night at our apartment for the first time in 4 weeks. Our bathroom is almost done: it should be done today!! I'm so happy and I didn't even mind cleaning the apartment. So much dust all over it but I don't care - we've all missed our home so much! Now we're gonna have to make up our mind: should we sell the apartment or stay in it - baby#2 arrives in mid-july so if we're gonna sell it, we need to do it now. Confused, yes.  Next post I'll write is about our Tahko-vacation and pics of our bathroom. This time little bit different. So t his time I will write a post about this new company that offers their cleaning-services here in Finland. Therefore this post will be in Finnish only:  Moppi - kokeilutarjous Vietä enemmän aikaa perheesi kanssa ja palkkaa siivooja. Me Mopilla si...

ROOM21 furniture and decorations online store

Image
ROOM21  is an online store that sells design furniture and decorations to your home. Currently they have different campaigns  whether you're interested in buying a new lamp, a couch to your living room, Muumi-mug or this super cute Peep B3  drawer , to name a few. They have brands such as Kartell, Alessi, Design House Stockholm, Iittala, Fatboy and many more. Here are some some of my favorites to our bathroom and you can see all of them on their web page. Bathroom How about these to our (soon) brand-new bathroom? Laundry basket Clear Tool box  House Doctor Soap Dish Birillo toilet brush Which one's do you like? Bathroom renovation Sorry - this topic, again! I had my first vacation day today so we started off early, had a brief meeting with our contractor in our apartment and then went to get all the rest of the stuff we needed, such as a bathroom mat & new towels from Ikea and hooks for the towels. Now we're done with al...

New local offers at Offerilla (Finland)

Hello! Offerilla is the "new Groupon/Citydeal" which I personally used a lot to get great offers on local deals such as beauty, hair-cuts, restaurants, housekeeping, cars, other services..you name it. This one is new and works only in Finland, though, but for those interested in finding great deals, check it out! Through this service you can buy gift certificates in an exceptionally low price, as the offer is usually -50% of the normal price. I used it a lot some time ago (when Groupon still existed) on hair-cuts and restaurants, and it was a great way to explore new services. How about yoga  for 19€ or middle-eastern  (food) menu for two for only 34,90€?  These are Helsinki/Espoo based services but they do have services in other cities in Finland too (Turku, Tampere for example). Have a great evening!
