Affordable Sappee family vacation with Offerilla

 Hey everyone!

Gosh, time goes by fast - it's been almost a month since my last blogpost. We travelled here in Finland this past month so I guess that always makes busy daily life even busier with planning the vacation and going to the actual vacation. With kids life is always busy but not complaining! :) That being said, here's a short look on the Sappee vacation. * In collaboration with Offerilla (this post contains ads)*.

Sappee and Offerilla

With the pandemic going on, travelling is still very important to our family. Being stuck at home a lot as I still work remotely and not being able to see people a lot, it's so important to make sure we can arrange something fun for our family every now and then. That's why we decided to head to Sappee for two nights which offers skiing hills and other outdoor stuff for especially families. It's about 2 hour drive from Helsinki which is just perfect for us since our youngest son naps and that gives him the perfect timing for naptime. We didn't actually go skiing this time but we had kids bikes with us and there was actually a trampoline in the area which is their favorite - they would jump for hours each day! And our kids need lots of activities to get rid off that energy, or they jump to the roof (literally, they do). So basically we headed out in the morning, walked a little while in the area, watched the skiers and snowboarders come down the hill and enjoyed the sunny weather. It was beautiful with sun and the snow, just perfect and not too crowded (we wore masks at all times).

Sappee chalet

Our chalet, where we stayed at, had two bedrooms, a mixed kitchen-livingroom area, a separate toilet and a roomy bathroom with a sauna. That's always a nice thing to have after a long day out in the snow, very relaxing. We rented the chalet via Offerilla because we always want to save money on our travels and this was very affordable. Obviously we always need space so two-bedroom type of accommodation was just what we needed.

Overall on this vacation: it was worth the money, kids had fun things to do (especially the trampoline, our points go there!) and it's not too far from home. The chalet was nice and tidy, and we loved to have a kitchen in it - it's easier to cook in your own room instead than going to a restaurant with kids. It's never fun and relaxing, to be frank ;) This place is especially fun in the winter with older kids who like to ski and snowboard. They do have a camping area so this would be fun in the summer too, I think cause kids just love to hang outdoors and play in the woods, ride their bikes and just explore outdoors. Maybe we'll head over there this summer, everything is still open in the air.

Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead of you!
