New job and getting ready for christmas

Image
Hey everyone! This fall I've been super busy with my job, kids being sick a lot and jugling between two different homes (for the kids, that is). Right now I've been at my new job for a little over a month now so everything's still new and I keep learning new things on everyday basis. It's very challenging yet exciting but also very demanding as I work as a project manager in a new field I'm not familiar with. As for now, my youngest son is sick at the moment with fever and staying home with me. So far I thank Paw patrol, gingerbread cookies and a kid with great sleeping skills ;) I mean, he slept for 1,5 hours yesterday while I had a meeting so thumbs up he'll manage to do the same today too :) *This post contains ads.* Christmas and holiday break is coming How's everyone's xmas plans this year? I just talked to my husband this morning (yes, the one that officially lives in his own place ;)) about santa claus and whether we should have him over on christ...

New week filled with work, flu and snow

Monday and new week is here, and this week it's filled with work, flu and snow. I returned to work last monday after vacationing and spending almost 2 weeks with the family. January definitely is here and strong with upcoming work projects but kids being sick at the same time - it happens everytime! I'm so lucky to have a participating father for my three kids so we can always arrange the time for our kids but also for ourselves depending on our work schedule. This week is super busy for me and I just received a call from my kids daycare that my youngest is sick with flu. And that means workday is over for me and my youngest needs to be taken to the doctor but it also means a covid-test is needed. Ouch!  Work, flu and snow My work is very flexible and I'm very lucky about that. Meaning I work from home (just like everyone else at the moment due to the covid-situation) and can arrange my days if emergency situations like this appear. So first I'll take my kid to see a pr...

Sick child, Reima outerwear and working mama - quite the combo!

Hey everyone!  It's been a while since I've posted anything but that's because we've literally been sick from january until now :( To be more spesific, my youngest one has been sick with stomach flu, flu and now with earinfection - in his both ears!! He's been up all nite long since it's been too hard to sleep through the night, poor little one. Luckily after been in and out of health center, which did nothing good in trying to find out what's wrong with him, we finally got an insurance for him and took him to a private doctor's. Now he's already feeling so much better, thanks to this super-talented doctor :) I hate when my kids are in pain! Outerwear at Reima  Sorry about a whiny start on this post! Other than being sick for weeks, it's been raining almost all the time which is not fine. Thank god for online shops like  Reima  who offer the best quality outer wear for kids, my older kids have so far stayed healthy (fingers crossed that...

New clothes for kids at Reima outlet

Image
Hello, everyone! Weeks are going so fast it's almost impossible to remember post anything but here I am :) This week has been the worst in a while: my both kids got sick last week, and that required me to stay at home with one of them. Of course that's what I do but I just hate calling in sick after being at work for less than 2 weeks :) But it is what it is and luckily grandparents came in to help us - yay for them :) So after this horrible week I decided I'm in for a treat. Clothes, that is :) Not for me, though, but for my kids. Reima has the best quality, durable clothes for kids and they even have sales right now so that would be the perfect time for shopping. All of a sudden my older son, who turns 4 in 1 month, has out-grown of all of his outerwear (yes, I spot ankles :D) and my youngest son just isn't a baby anymore :( I mean really, after he started at daycare he's grown so much and is just taller. So if you need new clothes, check it out. I usually ta...

Found a new pediatrician and starting to donate breast milk

Image
Hello! What a beautiful fall it's been so far - sunny and warm almost every day for the past week or so! Love it! Only thing that I'm not loving is that my little baby has gotten sick: he has a flu and also something wrong with his little tummy. Constipation, that is and we actually went to a doctor yesterday and found a really good pediatrician. You know, the one that is so empathetic, listens to you like there's no one else in the world and tries to find the best cure for you child. Luckily, I think we found a way together to make baby feel better (and poop, too) so it's already getting better. But I have to say I always get to scared when something happens to my children - that's what parents do: always worrying. I also started something that's really close to my heart and wanting to do that ever since my youngest son was born. That is I began to donate my breast milk since I have lots of it and I wanna help newborns who really needs it (and their mommy c...

Baby's due date, thinking about new baby gear and other stuff

Image
Good morning! Baby's due date is here - and he's almost 4 weeks old :) Things are going well, although little L got really sick on wednesday nite and we had a few rough nites because of that. I'm fine with my 3 hour sleep but when I don't get that, I'm exhausted. I mean, baby sleeps 3 hrs in a row which is just fine, then eats and sleeps again but big brother kept waking up every hour. He had ear infection (again) and high fewer. He seems better today so let's keep our fingers crossed. He hasn't eaten anything for days but finally had breakfast this morning so it looks promising. I hate when my babies are sick :( Baby gear Yes, my favorite topic :) Here's a picture of my stroller, Easywalker Duo, which I bought as a used one, and I just love them :) Very sturdy, yet not too heavy to push even with two kids, the baby basket is big enough and at least my baby sleeps there almost too well. And all that for 220€ so I can't complain! My bag hangs in...

Now presenting: Lauran Pikku Putiikki (Laura's Little Boutique) online store

Image
Good evening! I have a rare evening just for myself: little L is still sick (yes, still) and went to bed super early, and my husband has a sports night with his buddies. So I'm here and I was thinking, what should I write about? I had a short day at work cause I wanted to come home early to be with my little guy and tomorrow I'm staying home with him. I have one online meeting which I hope I can attend so let's just hope L wont miss his naptime tomorrow at noon! On thursday he'll stay at home as well but my parents are coming here. Lucky me :) And once again - let's hope this will be the last time L is sick this spring. Lauran Pikku Putiikki online store So anyway, back to business. I was wondering what I should write about tonight and I ended up with baby/kid gear and especially this one: Lauran Pikku Putiikki . It's an online store that sells everything from diaper bags to bathing, and from baby blankets to toys with a wide variety of different brands. T...

Starting off the week with a sick child and a job interview

Good evening! What a day, I'll have to say. L got all of a sudden really sick last night with high fever. He was a bit sick last week and stayed home for one day but he hasn't been this sick. Ever. Poor little guy :( I have to say: thank god we have a  health insurance   for him so we don't have to use the public healthcare with a sick child, for hours in most cases. Not that public healthcare wouldn't be good - it is but it's just so much easier and faster to get to a (private) doctor's appointment with this insurance. And we always get the best help, lucky us. So anyway, after this commercial speech about insurance, let's hope L gets better soon and will be able to go to day care again. I had to work today so my husband stayed home with L, and tomorrow I'll work half day at the office and then come home as soon as I can to be with L. He needs his mommy when he's sick (we all do). I really hope he gets better soon because when he's sick he wo...

Working from home with a sick child and a training program to begin

Image
Yes, today I worked from my home office which was nice in a way that I didn't have to get ready to go to work. That usually saves a lot of time, even though my actual work place is very close to my home. Today especially it was nice to be able to work from home since we had a rough night: L has a flu and he coughing a lot last night. My husband took care of him the half day and I started after I was done with my work - talk about shifts! I only had to work half day today so it made this a bit easier. I hate to always call the grandparents to come and help us when L is sick, even though they're more than willing to do so, but they're getting older too so I don't always want to bother them. L is not the easiest to put into sleep during the day but luckily we have a safe balcony and another set of strollers inside the apartment so he fell easily asleep outside. Let's hope he'll get better soon and that I'll be able to go to work tomorrow for my team work day ...
