Back at new home with the newborn

Hello everyone! What a week it's been: I had my baby last tuesday and we're back at our new home. Let me just say it was a bit of a chaos, if I may call it. In the middle of the moving process on tuesday my contractions just kept coming and coming, stronger so we had to leave everything in the hands of our (the best ever) parents. They took care of little L, put everything in final place here at our home, cleaned it, cleaned our old place..what else? I am so grateful for all their help - we could not have done without them. Lucky us :) I stayed at the hospital until friday with the baby because he was born prematurely (pregnancy week 36+2) so they had to make sure he didn't lose too much his birthweight. He did, almost 10%, so we're really keeping track on how he's eating etc. Hope all goes well in the end and he'll start packing on pounds cause he's so tiny!! Other than that, life's good and we're so happy. All of us, even L although he is a bit ...

Friday night, a newborn, sauna and great music - let the weekend begin!

Good evening! My friday's been really good. First a quite productive day at work and got everything done on time what I was supposed to do. It's always comforting to start a weekend after day like that :) Then I went to pick up L from day care (the best part of my day, always) and go see an old friend of mine and her newborn son. I used to see this friend a lot 4-5 years ago when we were both single and basically had much more time to socialize than nowadays :) Then we both got married (not the same guy, hah haa!) and started a family and we all know how that works: if you don't keep in touch enough you just don't see your friends anymore. Sad but that's what happened. So we finally managed to see today after my work and it was so good to see her. And the baby..well, 4 weeks olds are very cute :) Thank god I'm already pregnant and gonna one of those on my own - too cute! And little. L seemed like a big guy compared to him so yes..tiny he was. L had fun too c...

Top qualities for choosing a stroller for a newborn

Good morning, everyone! I wrote about finding the right kind of stroller for 1 or 2 children and that was mainly targeted to people with with a toddler and a baby or two toddlers. But when I was expecting my first child, L, I had no previous experience on strollers at all. I'd seen those for sure but I never paid too much attention on them. Some strollers had four big tires, some four with two smallers ones in front and some of them had only three tires. Some were big, some smaller and some in between. Some have adjustable legrests while others have bigger & better hood/canopy. And the color - which one to choose? As you can imagine, we were lost and advice came from everywhere! This post is about finding the right one especially for newborn and we'll talk about other types of strollers later. I hope this helps you or even gets you on the right direction. As said before, I'm not a professional on this so this is only based on me and my family's own experience. ...
