Blog about work and babies

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Our bathroom is almost done - just a finishing touch that'll be done this week and the wait is over! And those are just little things, more important is that we can use it already and I love it. Very simple, nothing that special in it but I (we) love it just the way it is: big white tiles on the walls and smaller light grey ones on the floor. I love it because it's so easy to buy all different kinds of accessories there - bright for the summer and less bright for the winter :) And that means more shopping of bathroom accessories such as a new soap pump. Perhaps something from Finnish Design shop  or from here ? So to prove that we do indeed have a new bathroom, I have just a few pictures here I wanted to share with you: New bathroom and new towels from Ikea Shower, mirror cabin and a sink - all brand new and shiny Here's our old bathroom - it looks a lot different (outdated for sure) and so much smaller too: Out...

Hello! Back in business again and f eeling relaxed after easter-break in Tahko skiing resort :) We arrived back to our apartment late last night (yes, our apartment!) and spent a night at our apartment for the first time in 4 weeks. Our bathroom is almost done: it should be done today!! I'm so happy and I didn't even mind cleaning the apartment. So much dust all over it but I don't care - we've all missed our home so much! Now we're gonna have to make up our mind: should we sell the apartment or stay in it - baby#2 arrives in mid-july so if we're gonna sell it, we need to do it now. Confused, yes.  Next post I'll write is about our Tahko-vacation and pics of our bathroom. This time little bit different. So t his time I will write a post about this new company that offers their cleaning-services here in Finland. Therefore this post will be in Finnish only:  Moppi - kokeilutarjous Vietä enemmän aikaa perheesi kanssa ja palkkaa siivooja. Me Mopilla si...

ROOM21  is an online store that sells design furniture and decorations to your home. Currently they have different campaigns  whether you're interested in buying a new lamp, a couch to your living room, Muumi-mug or this super cute Peep B3  drawer , to name a few. They have brands such as Kartell, Alessi, Design House Stockholm, Iittala, Fatboy and many more. Here are some some of my favorites to our bathroom and you can see all of them on their web page. Bathroom How about these to our (soon) brand-new bathroom? Laundry basket Clear Tool box  House Doctor Soap Dish Birillo toilet brush Which one's do you like? Bathroom renovation Sorry - this topic, again! I had my first vacation day today so we started off early, had a brief meeting with our contractor in our apartment and then went to get all the rest of the stuff we needed, such as a bathroom mat & new towels from Ikea and hooks for the towels. Now we're done with al...

Hello! How are you all doing? Hope everything's fine - to me it is. We went for a long walk today and L took his nap on a stroller. It's a bit cold here but somewhat sunny - spring is definitely on its way :) Our bathroom renovation project continues and week 3 starts on monday. It shouldn't take much longer anymore (3 weeks at the very most) so one day we'll be able to move back home. We're almost done with all the shopping, and today I ordered a shower set from Taloon  and particularly this one  which is on sale until 31 march, 2016. It's the cheapest one we found and this weekend (18-21 march, 2016) Taloon.com has free shipping and really short delivery time (1-3 days) so that was the winning deal for us. Didn't need to drive anywhere on a saturday but instead we ordered this online and had so much more time to do other family-stuff. Convenient :) And the best thing? They deliver it directly to your home. So if you need anything for you house (real...

Good morning! We did some shopping yesterday and bought new floor tiles to our bathroom. We ended up getting small light grey ones (10x10) from Bauhaus and still deciding on wall tiles. (The on their site looks like beige but it's really light grey). White and shiny ones for sure, but we're still debating on the size: either 25x40 or even bigger ones. I'm glad it's easy to find information on Pinterest and other sites because I need pictures to see how something would look like once it's done - and I happen to love Pinterest so it's a win win ;) This one I found on Pinterest is very close to the one we're having although our floor tiles are gonna be lighter gray but wall tiles are pretty much gonna look like those: We also ordered this bathroom cabinet and a sink -set from Taloon.com. They ship for free on certain items so it makes it easier for us. We still need a mirror cabinet but that one I might buy from Bauhaus as well. We already have a sho...
