New job and getting ready for christmas

Image
Hey everyone! This fall I've been super busy with my job, kids being sick a lot and jugling between two different homes (for the kids, that is). Right now I've been at my new job for a little over a month now so everything's still new and I keep learning new things on everyday basis. It's very challenging yet exciting but also very demanding as I work as a project manager in a new field I'm not familiar with. As for now, my youngest son is sick at the moment with fever and staying home with me. So far I thank Paw patrol, gingerbread cookies and a kid with great sleeping skills ;) I mean, he slept for 1,5 hours yesterday while I had a meeting so thumbs up he'll manage to do the same today too :) *This post contains ads.* Christmas and holiday break is coming How's everyone's xmas plans this year? I just talked to my husband this morning (yes, the one that officially lives in his own place ;)) about santa claus and whether we should have him over on christ...

Offerilla summer deals

Image
Good morning! *This post contains an ad because I am doing some affiliate marketing on this blog* Offerilla travel ideas in Finland Summer is just around the corner and many - including myself & my family - are starting to plan our family vacation. This year it will be different and we'll be spending it in Finland because of the virus.  Offerilla  has services, including travel & accommodation, for a discounted price. My favorite is a chalet cabin in Sappee for 2 nights in a somewhat luxurious cabin with a private sauna, kitchen area and a separate bedroom. Sappee isn't too far from Helsinki where we live which is nice since long drive with 3 kiddos isn't much fun :) With this deal we thought about travelling more in mid-Finland at hubby's parents cabin. Maybe few nights there and few at some hotel nearby.  Summer in Finland is so pretty with nightless nights, beautiful nature and fresh air. It doesn't get too hot here at almost ever which is something we pr...

Happy new year 2020 and Viking Line trip to Stockholm!

Image
Hey everyone, it's new year 2020!! How are you all? New year and getting back to normal  I'm doing good; 2/3 of my boys returned back to day care today and I gotta say I enjoyed some quiet time with my youngest son after all that craziness ;) We did some necessary grocery shopping (haven't been able to do that since all of them were home 24/7), ate an un-healthy lunch at Hesburger (I'll start dieting next week..some year ;)) and then walked home while baby fell asleep. That walk was necessary since my back been aching and I really hope it wont get to the point I can't move or get out of bed cause that has happened before and it's no joke then. Anyway, just a regular day but I really enjoyed some down time. It's a 24/7 job taking care of 3 boys, I'm telling you! Going back to work or starting a new business? I'm still not sure what's happening with me going back to work and when since I found out my old job doesn't exist anymore. I...

Fall clothes at Bestseller

Howdy everyone! Fall is here, actually for the second day since we had the best summer ever :) long summer, that is. Now it's finally getting cooler so it's time to check out new fall clothes. My favorite destination is  Bestseller  because they have clothes for everyone. My favorites are their maternity line, which includes mamalicious clothes, and nursing wear. What's your favorite? Right now I'm a fan of sweat pants and hoodies - either the ones you can nurse in (the hoodies of course :D) or the clothes that are suitable for babywearing. Those are always my favorite :) Other than shopping, my baby and I began babyyoga few weeks ago. I love it, it's great for my back and it's about last time to start doing it since this baby has started moving! At 7 months he's not too far from learning to walk, yikes :) we're also travelling to Greece next month and that makes me so excited! Happy wednesday!

Summer with 3 kiddos

Image
Hey everyone! Our family had a fun but not that relaxing (!) summer vacay this summer first time as a  family of 5. It's hard work, let me tell ya! My husband and I love travelling so we haven't given up on that even though our fam has grown. No, having a third one - baby - doesn't exactly make it harder but having 3 kids at different ages just makes it harder, if you know what I mean. 5 year old is great company and baby goes along the way but a 3 year old is a peace of work :D I'm just hoping it's a phase that will soon pass. Most of all, the number of luggage you need with 3 is massive, your organizing skills need to be in order, meaning 24/7. Skip a lunch and you're dead! Seriously. Right now being at home and vacationing locally to parks etc is a childs play :) home sweet home, for sure. BUT despite of all that, it wasn't a true disaster and let's remember that kids will grow and our next trip will be so much different. Happy summer holiday to a...

Fall vacation plans and tips

Image
Good monday, everyone! How's everyone doing? I'm good, haven't catched that awful flu yet and both kids are at day care - life is good! :) And while this week has finally gotten started, it's time to start thinking about fall and possible vacation planning. I'm not planning on travelling too far since I'm now officially 24 weeks pregnant and my 3 days + weekend -vacation isn't until the end of next month. So in reality maybe to Estonia or even somewhere here in Finland just in case something happens. But vacation is a must since this will be our last vacation as a family of four, yikes! Next time, most probably in the summer, we'll be a family of five and travelling gets more challenging for sure. So where should I/we or you travel next and which service should I/you use? Here's a list of some of my favorite sites and I'm sure everyone will find their favorite from these. Matkapörssi has all kinds of vacations to basically anywhere you w...

Carena Kobbe travel stroller on sale + more sale items at Lekmer!

Image
Hey everyone! Summer is coming, believe or not, and many of you may already have plans for your summer vacation. Everyone travelling with kids know that you always have so much stuff with you: all the luggage, travel stroller (or two) and all those carry on bags - that's a lot with crazy, running away kids :) My opinion these days is that if you have even just one idea that can save your nerves (and muscles), take it :D I know, I've talked about these so many times so why not this time too? Lekmer has all their Carena Kobbe travel strollers on sale which are similar to Babyzen yoyo travel stroller what comes to their size but are much cheaper compared to yoyo. We're not sure what we're doing this summer since we go back and forth with our summer plans. We sorta wanna go some where warm (Bulgaria, Greece etc.) but then again we like Estonia so much that we're talking about going there with our car and my parents might even come with us. Either way, we just don...

Back from Crete and my thoughts on the holiday :)

Hey everyone! It's been a while because I was on a vacation with my family in Crete :) Wonderful holiday with perfect weather, the sun, the sand, the beaches..the food and the people. Go there if you like all those :) Everything went well even though I had my fears of travelling with two little ones. Will they get sick? Will they sleep or eat there? No worries, really. I packed all the baby food already here in Finland and I'm glad I did because not of the stores in Crete had baby food! Yeah, it wasn't quite the season yet so they didn't have any and my little one eats like a big boy. Diapers? Yes, they have those in every store but I still had everything ready so we didn't need to buy any. Clothes? I always have too many and you just don't really need that many clothes anyway cause you spend all your holiday at the beach. We we're lucky - we only had one rainy day. Only thing you really need to make sure when travelling with little ones are snacks on th...

A trip to Greece in April and back to work in 2018 :)

Image
Hey there! It's been a while since I wrote last time. It's been kinda hectic lately, with one child teething and having a flu (and therefore not sleeping through the night), and the other one only half day in day care. I know, my own choices and not complaining about life, but 'me'-time is kinda limited these days :) Anyway, we made it and booked a flight and a hotel to Greece in april. Yay!! Love this feeling when you're actually waiting for something fun to happen. We'll be there for a week and it wont be too hot in that time of year but we don't like hot, steamy weather so it's perfect. And it's a change for our daily routines so double-yay :) Another new thing in our lives is that I'll be going back to work in january 2018 which is not like tomorrow but something I've been thinking about for a while now. My baby's gonna be 1,5 years old then so we're gonna hire a nanny for 6 months and then, after summer, he'll be joining ...

Christmas is on the way, x-mas party and a cruise to Stockholm

Good afternoon, everyone!  I can't believe it's less than 2 weeks until it's x-mas!! Yikes, I'm not done with shopping and all the other preparations are sorta..not done either. Oh well, no panic and it'll go smoothly as always :) This week is a fun week filled with a visit to my workplace with my tiniest boy, a christmas party at my older son's day care (I love christmas parties) and then a cruise to Stockholm in Sweden and back. If you're interested in going there and see the royals ;) check out Booking   which is a site that has great deals on hotels and airfare. Anyway, we're going on a cruise from friday night to sunday morning and I gotta say, that's the best way of travelling with kids. I mean, there's a playroom for my toddler and a place to feed my baby at the same time plus I can have a coffee during that time. Perfect! Besides, kids are usually tired from all that playing so that's always a bonus, and I don't need to go an...

Discount codes for the summer

Image
Good morning (or afternoon, I may say)!! What a great way to wake up after a somewhat good night sleep :) We had a rough night with little L because when he goes to sleep, he always needs his mommy to tuck him in - and now I'm sort of occupied with the baby and I don't have enough time to do that. I feel so bad and he gets so sad and mad at the same time. Luckily he fell asleep in his own bed and slept through the night. This constant guilt is killing me :( Well, I guess it just takes time. For today, I have some discount codes for you to share if you're interested - from travelling to shopping. Some of these are in Finnish only - sorry about that: Easyloma (travelling) Lisäalennnusta lapsista 100€ Easyloman matkoilla lapset matkustavat aina edullisesti. Dreaming of summer vacation in Italy

Hello there! Even though I wont be travelling anywhere warm, exotic or just about anything else, I have all the right to day dream about it :) Summer is almost here - or what comes to weather currently here in Helsinki, it is already here - so it's time to start planning on a new trip. Usually by this time I've already booked my summer vacation since most years I've started my 4 week long summer vacation in the end of june. Last year we travelled to Italy, the island of Ischia and that was something. I'm gonna write a little bit about that vacation this time. Really hot summer but unfortunately, as it happens very often, little L got sick very early on the vacation and they only had one doctor on the island so it was a bit scary. Luckily L got better and we got to enjoy a nice holiday. Would I recommend the island for people travelling with a toddler? No. Why? Because it didn't have too many outdoor places for children to play at - we actually had to travel quite ...
