Pregnancy week 38

Image
Hey everyone! I'm still in one piece on a pregnancy week 38 and waiting for the arrival of our 3rd little boy :) I gotta say, I'm more than ready for the arrival since I'm experiencing all the pregnancy non-wanted symptoms: swelling on my ankles and fingers and therefore dropping everything :D Constipation is one of my frequent friends, and moving around with my kids or sleeping at night is in jeopardy :( not fun, for sure.  I also started feeling the same as I did on my first trimester, being nauseous and super tired even after a really good nights sleep. I guess this is how's it's gonna be for the last weeks so really, babyboy - anytime you're ready:) Other than that, days go by with the normal routine with kids being at the daycare for 6hrs a day and me taking care of the house stuff. Today is my husband's birthday and I already baked him a cheesecake, and we're having chicken fajitas for dinner. Kids will def enjoy it too! Just a little celebra...

Busy work week and pregnancy week 19

Time flies - I'm almost half way through my pregnancy! We also found out we're having another boy so that kinda makes it more real :) I've been feeling much better, this second trimester sure is the best trimester so I've been able to workout (just a little) and run with my kiddos - not complaining at all :) This has been a busy week at work and this friday I have this super-important seminar (or webinar) coming up for 100 people online so that's kinda scary :) Not only speaking to that many people but the fact my older son had a stomach and is in fact at home with me right now. Luckily, it was a quick bug but let's hope it's not contagious so I wont catch it and then I have to cancel the seminar :( We also had a fun weekend last weekend since I turned 40 (middle-age, here I come!) and my parents had a garden-party for close family. What a nice get-together with kids and adults, and a nice to celebrate my birthday too. And we have another celebration com...

My toddler turned 3

How fast time flies?! I mean, my toddler just turned 3 last week and we basically celebrated all week. We had an actual b-day party on saturday with close family and everything went well (even the cake I baked!!) except for the fact that my baby got sick. Ear-infection, ouch :( Poor little guy - he's got a runny nose and he keeps coughing all night long. He even has antibiotics for a week and clearly they're already working since he slept just a bit better last night. I'm hoping I'm not getting it since taking care of two little ones is hectic enough so with a flu it would be just too much. So just a few words of the b-day party..I did bake a cake. By myself. I asked my toddler what he wanted and he wanted a car-cake. Just like last year ! Expect that I actually made a cake that looked like a car - this year I 'cheated' and made just a regular cake and bought one these to put on top of the cake. Easy! And everyone liked my cake, especially my little one. Unfo...

Getting ready for the moving process

Hello everyone! Weeks seem to pass by like nothing - it's been almost a week since I wrote last time. We've certainly had an exciting week; we sold our apartment and bought a new one. It's finally official and time to start thinking about the moving process! Yes, the move.. I've been asking for offers from different companies here in Helsinki-Espoo area in Finland but I'm still looking for the best one. You need to make sure they have valid insurances, what kind of contract you make (either you pay by the hour or for the whole package), how many movers and cars you get etc. Prices range from 500€ to 2000€ so quite the range! Obviously, we don't want to pay that much since we're only gonna pay for the heavy furniture to be moved - everything else (the small ones) we can move with our cars. Yes, we're always looking for the savings but unfortunately we can't do it all by ourselves: I do need to take it easy and let other people do it for us because o...

Our hectic week: signing the papers, preparing for the party, job interview and getting ready to move!

Hello everyone! My exciting week is coming to an end tomorrow as we sign the papers: we're selling our apartment and buying new one. Can't wait and I hope everything goes as planned! We're going to move either June 17 or 20 so about 1 month before my due date. I've been looking for offers on different moving firms as I can't lift anything heavy (couch, bed, etc.). Hopefully I'll find something good on time, in a decent price. On saturday we're celebrating L's birthday party (finally!) with our closest relatives. He turned 2 on March 1st and we didn't have a real party for him then (we were staying at different locations due to our bathroom renovation project) so now it's time to have it. I've been planning all week what to prepare for the party: I'll have ice cream (a substitute for the cake), ham pie, cheese, huge fruit plate, miniature meatballs, "hiding frankfurters", salad and many other little things. I love parties and...

Something new for the spring from Finnish Design Shop

Image
Good morning, everyone! It's a sunny morning here in Finland and because of that, I decided to advertise a little bit of Finnish Design Shop  and their cool new ideas for the spring. I love their site - it's super easy to follow and you can find stuff easily but not easy on your wallet ;) They do have on going campaigns and an outlet section where you can find stuff for -20-40% off of normal prices. These pages are available in many other languages, so not just for finnish customers. You can also see some of my favorite stuff from their site on my blog's " Home ideas " -section. So right now I'd like to add some colour to my apartment, and that's easily done & found  here on their site  Inspiration . It's always easier to find something you really like when you can see the whole picture. Birthday party & toddler sleeping sleeping in his own bed So today we're going to attend my niece's birthday party: she turns 18. I had a day ...

Long weekend

Hey you all! My weekend just started and it's gonna be a fun weekend, for sure! Tomorrow I'll finally go to a pilates class after this horrible flu-season and the a little bit of shopping. My niece turns 18 yrs and has a birthday party on saturday so I'm gonna need to find her something. Any suggestions? I'm so bad with presents - I always end up giving a gift-certificate or just money. I know, boring but I just can't buy clothes or anything else, too hard. I'm also gonna need something nice to wear so that's why shopping is required :) Then in the evening we're going to see my in-laws and having dinner there - perfect. And going to a sauna, of course :) We are also gonna go to an open-house on sunday and I'm so excited about this one: if we really like it, we wouldn't have to ask for a loan because it costs as much as this current apartment! It's a little bit further from where we currently live but not too far. We'll see. This one h...

Going to see my baby

Today is another check up concerning my baby: an ultrasound. I just had my previous one, 3d/4d, 2 weeks ago and we found out we're having another boy. The thing about 4d ultrasound is that you're able to see how your baby looks like - although baby's still very little. And it's nice to "meet" him again today and hope everything's still fine. I can't believe I'm already 20 weeks pregnant - half way already! My colleague told me her daughter just had her first baby at just 28 weeks. Baby weighed only little over 1 kg which made me realize anything can happen. Let's keep our fingers crossed that my baby will stay put until July! Yesterday we celebrated L's 2 year birthday party and I have to say that cake I made (car-cake with chocolate-cream filling) was delicious! L liked it too and we ended up eating the front part of the car :) He also got some small presents (books etc.) but the rest are still on their way to our house since I didn'...
