Good morning, everyone! I'm slowly starting this workweek so I decided what better way to start it than blogging? :) Most people here in Finland have this week off as they are on their winter holiday. And what a week they have: lots of snow, sun but also a really cold weather. Currently it's -13 degrees and that's cold for me! I'm so lucky I don't have to travel to work today or tomorrow and I can just work from home. I'm not a fan of cold weather ;) But for those vacationing this week - super week! This weekend was all about doing stuff outdoors: playing at a theme park and playing in the snow at my parents house. My little boys love it and when we finally have a week off from being sick, you really need to take a full advantage of it :) So playing outdoors it is for us! Good morning, everyone! Good friday It's Good friday (Pitkäperjantai in finnish) and in Finland it's a common day off (and a long weekend, monday's off too) for most us. L had a easter costumer party at day care yesterday and he also brought home a traditional easter grass they made - cute! We also did our own easter grass at home and it turned out well - it sort of reminds me of the that spring is coming after the long winter. I love these traditions, as I've mentioned it before, and it's so cool my child gets to experience those too. So today's just for family time, eating, maybe taking a nap and going out for a walk and to the park to play. Good evening! Today I had my pregnancy check up where they checked my blood pressure (normal), my weight (only 4 kg gained so far, yay!) and the size and height of my uterus. I'm glad I haven't gained too much weight yet because of my gestational diabetes - better keep an eye on the weight, and I sure have. What I was a little concerned about are contractions: I've been having those for a couple of days but let's hope they're just for practice and the baby will stay put for at least another..10 weeks? :) Other than that, I've had quite a busy day. Another seminar coming this week and lot's of things due this and next week so those will keep me busy.
