Hey everyone from self-quarantine day 1234567890! Especially with kids around wanting to go play to indoor play-areas and not wanting to go out and play - it's a constant battle. Daddy's still working remotely from home, just like so many other mom's and dad's (kudos to you!!) Kids could go to day care, as it's not forbidden but highly recommended to stay at home, and for now this suggestion here in Finland goes all the way until may 13. Hey everyone! Summer is coming, believe or not, and many of you may already have plans for your summer vacation. Everyone travelling with kids know that you always have so much stuff with you: all the luggage, travel stroller (or two) and all those carry on bags - that's a lot with crazy, running away kids :) My opinion these days is that if you have even just one idea that can save your nerves (and muscles), take it :D I know, I've talked about these so many times so why not this time too? Good afternoon, everyone! Sun is shining here in Finland but at the same time it's really cold. -18 degrees this morning, brrr! I'm so glad I get to work from home every now and then :) And hey let's talk a little about work. I returned back to work in january to work as a project manager but only part-time which in my case means fridays are off. Kids are either at home with me or it's my time to go to the gym (the only time I get to go there during the week) or just run errands. I know, you can judge me: why the hell my kids are at day-care if I'm at home? Well, you see, mama needs her own time as well and my kids really enjoy the day-care. So the pros are: - I do have my own-time, "me-time" to take care of my self - kids can stay home with me if they want to (usually they don't!) or if they're sick, I won't miss a day at work - my house is always clean on fridays. Hello! Time flies and it's already mid-august. As many of you've noticed, I've been addicted to strollers and especially to double strollers - and I've switched those many many times :) Now that my older son is at the day care during naptime - which was the only reason I chose to keep those and switch for a stroller and wheeled board -combo for good - we really don't need one anymore. Basically, we just use our old Emmaljunga Nitro City all the time and our double stroller, Phil & Teds Vibe, spends a lot of time alone. Hello there! I know, it's been a while since I wrote last time but we've been really sick this past month with flu, stomach flu and then I hurt my back big time a week ago. So glad this month is almost over - time to move on to spring!! And it's definitely here with almost all the snow gone and sunny almost daily and also it's getting warmer. Next week we're going back to 8-12 routine with my toddler at his daycare. This 3 days a week just didn't work at all. He tends to forget his daycare and it's been so hard to take him there those days and he doesn't like to be there for that long everyday. I'm glad this daycare is so flexible that they would go back to this. Spring also means new clothes and shoes, at least for us. I was so sure all of our shoes from last season would fit (to our toddler) but I was completely wrong! Good morning! My older son is on christmas vacation for the next 2 weeks so funny but true - I now have more time to write blog posts ;) I mean, not dressing up and down and running to get to the bus but instead slow mornings (that started at 5am, yikes) and eating breakfast together. Baby goes to bed super early at night and then wakes up super early, and my toddler has trouble going to bed at night and then has trouble waking up in the morning. I know, it's a cycle and I can't wait for them both to sleep well at night. Until then... Anyway, christmas is finally over (thank god, no more over eating!!) and annual post-christmas are here. Yay! Good evening! What a relaxing weekend we've had: lots of playing outside with the kids (ok, just with the older one so far) and enjoying the last sunny days of summer so far. Let's hope next week and especially next weekend will still be nice so we can be outside as we have our baby's christening party on saturday. He'll finally have officially a name then! :) I also made it to the big supermarket yesterday with my toddler and got everything for the party. Baby stayed home with his daddy - first time for an hour and a half. So much easier to go get stuff with one child only. Next week will be spent cleaning, planning the party and preparing & baking everything. This morning I started thinking about the new stroller I'll need for my baby and toddler. This will be my last baby so I'm qualified to have a great stroller, right?! And it's time to make a decision soon since the arrives in less than 2 months. So I visited Babyshop's   website to see (again) what they have to offer and found this Maxi-Cosi Mura Plus 4   -stroller that looks good to me. This week is awesome what comes to work: only 4 days of work and a 3-day weekend :) And this morning started off really well since I got to sleep like a baby and when I got to work, I was able to find a parking spot!! What better way to start off this day :) I'm also working from home tomorrow so I don't need to worry about getting into traffic tomorrow morning. Good things ahead! Since I have a day off on friday, I might go and see an old friend of mine who lives very close to us (or, to be exact, my close to my in-laws where we're staying at right now). This place we're staying at is near my old house and school I went to in elementary school and some of my old friends are still living in that area. This friend who I might see, just had a baby like 2-3 weeks ago and she's currently a stay-at-home mom. We haven't seen each other for a long time so it's gonna be fun!
