Wolt to help out when hunger strikes

Image
Hey everyone! *This post contains ad's". Finland just faced two new challenges: lockdown due to covid-19 and winter with snow and cold weather came back. And it turns out I'm not a fan of either!! Especially the lockdown part with restaurants being closed for now (take-out is an option, of course) and my loneliness growing to a new height. I mean, with working remotely since mid-august, not seeing anyone, wearing a mask to everywhere and living a single life..oh my. Restaurants and the gym have been my only savior on dealing with this prison-life as I call it. So now that our government made a (wise) decision on closing this country and all the restaurants (with a limited access to the gym), I'm kinda stuck at home. That's why I need you all to know you can order your food in to your house with Wolt ! No kidding :D  What is Wolt? Wolt is a finnish based company that delivers food to your home from a wide selection of restaurants. Whether you prefer sushi, nepalese ...

Ordering food, clothes and toys online during self-quarantine

Hey everyone from self-quarantine day 1234567890! Or something like that - at least that's how it feels like right now ;)  * This post contains ads.* No kidding or joking about it for sure since it's very important for everyone to stay home and stay healthy in self-quarantine but man it does feel like forever! Especially with kids around wanting to go play to indoor play-areas and not wanting to go out and play - it's a constant battle. Daddy's still working remotely from home, just like so many other mom's and dad's (kudos to you!!) Kids could go to day care, as it's not forbidden but highly recommended to stay at home, and for now this suggestion here in Finland goes all the way until may 13. We'll see how this goes, and if kids are recommended to go back to day care this spring at all. I've gathered here some fun links so you can buy stuff online and that way make life a bit easier: to order food, find new clothes and toys :) Matsmar...

Back from Sweden and getting ready for christmas :)

Hey y'all! Wow, it's been a week since I wrote last time - time certainly flies :) My baby is 6 months old today, I just can't believe that. Feels like I just took him home. Today we (me and my kids) went to older older son's daycare to have morning porridge. It's a tradition here in Finland to have porridge in the morning, and at christmas time we eat this special porridge with cinnamon and sugar. Yummy! I also met my son's best friends dad, who's actually canadian so it's was so much fun to actually speak english for a while. Too bad, this best friend is quitting at the daycare and they are moving to another country :( Poor little L, he was so sad yesterday and will be super-sad when he goes back to his daycare after christmas break. Oh well, that's life. This past weekend we went to Stockholm in Sweden by a  Silja Line  ferry and I posted this picture on my instagram . We had fun but next time we go, we're gonna stay there a bit longer. Th...

New local offers at Offerilla (Finland)

Hello! Offerilla is the "new Groupon/Citydeal" which I personally used a lot to get great offers on local deals such as beauty, hair-cuts, restaurants, housekeeping, cars, other services..you name it. This one is new and works only in Finland, though, but for those interested in finding great deals, check it out! Through this service you can buy gift certificates in an exceptionally low price, as the offer is usually -50% of the normal price. I used it a lot some time ago (when Groupon still existed) on hair-cuts and restaurants, and it was a great way to explore new services. How about yoga  for 19€ or middle-eastern  (food) menu for two for only 34,90€?  These are Helsinki/Espoo based services but they do have services in other cities in Finland too (Turku, Tampere for example). Have a great evening!
