Kid-friendly family vacation in Finland

Hey there!

What a hot week it's been so far as temperatures rise up to 30 degrees - in Finland! Not bad at all we'll be vacationing mainly in Finland this except for the short trip to Estonia next month. (Read more about that trip here. We just booked a cabin for a week through Lomarengas and I could not be happier!

Mid-summer at grandparents cabin 

The cabin is just 2 hours away from my in-laws cabin, where we happened to spent the mid-summer festival last weekend. Or let me just call it a normal weekend with the family, not so much a festival ;) it was the first time since corona-limitations we've actually spent time with the grandparents again. And they're huuuuge help for us, no doubt about it!! So next month we're going back to their cabin, which is about 3 hours away from our home, to spend a few days there. It's awesome there with kids: they can swim all day, go fishing and just run around naked all day long :) Grandparents also make all the meals which is just great and watch the kids too so I can for two minutes every now and then.

Cabin through Lomarengas 

So after a few days at one cabin, it's time to change the scenery to another cabin through Lomarengas so that we're closer to some kid-friendly attractions here in Finland. Our rental cabin has two bedrooms, a livingroom area with fireplace and a sauna of course. It's close to a small private beach which is great with kids. This cabin is close to  Ähtäri zoo and Tuurin kyläkauppa which should offer us plenty of things to do - especially the latter one. Expensive? Not at all - we paid less than 700€ for a five night stay. And just like that, our first two weeks of summer vacation are spent already :)

 Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I've posted anything but so much has happened: I switched to a new job, spent summer with my kids, got divorced and catch covid-19. Yes, things happen mixing good and bad things but that's how life works. Can't always choose what happens next! I've been so good at dodging the covid bullet but this time I could not and it actually me and my boys. I'm fortunately fully vaccinated so I'm good but the boys haven't but they're still doing ok and have luckily only mild symptoms. I ran fever for few days, my throat hurts and I have a semi-runny nose - but that's it. We're staying in the house for now so no super markets, gym, day care or school, and not really meeting any people. I'm working remotely from home and kids are relatively calm due to the illness. Carena Kobbe travel stroller on sale + more sale items at Lekmer!

Hey everyone! Summer is coming, believe or not, and many of you may already have plans for your summer vacation. Everyone travelling with kids know that you always have so much stuff with you: all the luggage, travel stroller (or two) and all those carry on bags - that's a lot with crazy, running away kids :) My opinion these days is that if you have even just one idea that can save your nerves (and muscles), take it :D I know, I've talked about these so many times so why not this time too? We're not sure what we're doing this summer since we go back and forth with our summer plans. Mountain buggy duet sisarusrattaat alessa!

This post is only in finnish this time :) Mukavaa sunnuntaita kaikille! "Tämä postaus on poikkeuksellisesti vain suomeksi ja se sisältää mainoslinkkejä. Ulkona tulee räntää ainakin espoon suunnalla ja meidän pojat jo kovasti odottaa talvea, lunta ja sitä myöten tietenkin joulua :) Itse aloin pohtia, miten pärjään talven matkarattailla, jotka nyt olleet etenkin autoillessa eniten käytössä koska niihin saa britax turvakaukalon kiinni. Näppärää, mutta edelleen se lumi: meillä siis Britax b-agilen matkarattaat ja noilla renkailla ei kyllä yhtään huvita tarpoa eteenpäin lumessa. Keskimmäistä varten niissä on seisomalauta, joka olikin kesällä käytössä mutta jotenkin nyt säiden kylmettyä 3v tahtoo istuimen. Mountain buggy duet tarjouksessa 499,90€ Sen takia olen taas pohtinut tuplaratasasiaa suuntaan ja toiseen, ja melkein jo päädyin ostamaan käytetyt Mountain buggy duet v3 Sisarusrattaat hintaan 350€.
