Reason I chose Bugaboo Donkey Duo stroller

Many people with two children with age difference 1-3 are struggling with the same thing as I was earlier this year: should I buy a double stroller or will I be okay with a stroller for one and a wheeled board for the older one. I was one of those people, although I did buy a used Phil&Teds stroller (ok, very used) and didn't like it that much (the baby carrycot is way too small for the baby and I didn't like the idea one child would basically be sitting on the ground). (And as I go further, remember - these are just my points of views and people think differently). So I sold that one way before my number two was here. Just weeks before my second child was born, I decided we still needed a side-by-side -double stroller so we bought a (used one) Easywalker duo stroller. I liked it, no big reason for selling it (again!) but it was kinda heavy and just a bit too large for us: it didn't fit the front door and I don't like to keep my strollers outside so that had to ...

Happy sunday

Today I went for a long walk with my boys. Yes, with my new all black Bugaboo Donkey Duo stroller :) I have to say I haven't regreted buying it even though it was a bit expensive even though I bought it second-hand. Anyway, life's too short and I realized - after selling my previous double stroller - that I really needed one; just a stroller for one and a wheeled board just wasn't enough for a sometimes cranky 2,5 year old. Besides, he still needs to nap and he only falls asleep during stroller walks so it was sorta must thing to get this stroller. Okay, it's the best stroller I've ever had. The ride is so smooth in every terrain I've taken it and they both seem to like, and it looks so cool too. So back to the walk..both boys fell asleep (and the younger one is just now waking up - he's been asleep for 3 hours!!) What a perfect weather for a long walk: it didn't rain at all and it wasn't too windy, plus I really needed that walk after eating a whol...

I'm back 😊

Hello everyone! So I'm back, just couldn't stop for good and since I feel like I still have lots of fun things to share here on my blog. Baby-related, of course. So what I've been doing the past month? Many things (as it's never boring with my two boys) but mostly taking care of my boys, getting a new double stroller (can you guess which one I got? ;)), trying to take care of the household (laundry times 4 takes time!) and lastly trying to study. Yeah my last psychology course (personality psychology, very interesting) which would require a lot more time but..the final exam is next week and hopefully I will pass it with a grade of 3 or better (in a scale of 1-5). So after that I'll be posting many more texts as usual. And pictures of my new stroller for sure!! Yes, it's the one I wanted: The Bugaboo donkey duo, all black version. Versatile, easy to maneuver and as the name says, what a donkey it is!! Just imagine yourself going to a supermarket and getting e...

Time to say goodbye!

Hello everyone! What a beautiful day it is - and it's almost October! It is time to say goodbye to everyone whose been reading my blog and wrap things up, as they say :) So this blog was all about baby gear with my family's ups and downs, and from now on I will continue blogging (in Finnish, at least for now) but the topic has changed a lot. I've decided I wanna at least try something that I've been wanting to do (and try, for sure) for a very long time: try to get accepted to med-school. To be specific, to study dentistry  in Helsinki. Why? Well, it's academic but you also have to do something with your hands so it's perfect. I know, it's one hell of a ride, as one might say, I'll give a try. Maybe not this spring but spring 2018 I'll give it a real go!! Well see. At least I'll challenge myself and that's something. Studying at the age of 40 - yes, we will see :) Thank you everyone for reading my blog and I wish you all the best!!

Found a new pediatrician and starting to donate breast milk

Hello! What a beautiful fall it's been so far - sunny and warm almost every day for the past week or so! Love it! Only thing that I'm not loving is that my little baby has gotten sick: he has a flu and also something wrong with his little tummy. Constipation, that is and we actually went to a doctor yesterday and found a really good pediatrician. You know, the one that is so empathetic, listens to you like there's no one else in the world and tries to find the best cure for you child. Luckily, I think we found a way together to make baby feel better (and poop, too) so it's already getting better. But I have to say I always get to scared when something happens to my children - that's what parents do: always worrying. I also started something that's really close to my heart and wanting to do that ever since my youngest son was born. That is I began to donate my breast milk since I have lots of it and I wanna help newborns who really needs it (and their mommy c...

Sunny sunday, finding a new hobby for the fall and some Offerilla offers

Good evening! What an awesome sunday it's been: it was so warm I could actually wear my t-shirt and I was still sweating! And it's already september. Love this weather!!  So baby and I went for a little stroll and we found an outside flea market not too far from home and of course I did find something for the boys. I had my new (used) Bugaboo Frog-stroller with me and I actually put the baby in it but, as always, he didn't like the stroller. Yep, he's a carrier/sling -kinda baby that's how we really strolled ;) He just doesn't like to be put in the stroller so (suprisingly) my both double stroller (Easywalker) and my Bugaboo are on sale :D I know.. And it's funny because our toddler, you know my oldest son just loved sleeping in the stroller when he was a baby and he didn't like the carrier/sling at all. Talk about differences! And don't worry, I still have a travell stroller so I wont be totally stroller-less. Anyway, I started thinking about ...

New week with Netflix and other fun stuff

It's a new week again and first full (4-day) week with daycare for L. He really likes the place and it's easy to leave him there every morning: He just says "bye mom" and goes playing with other kids :D only thing is that he can't sleep there at nap time so he's really really tired in the afternoon when I go and pick him up. Oh well, I'm sure it gets better soon. Today they even have music play school (muskari in Finnish) and it's included in the price! As a parent I'm very happy with this daycare center. As for being a stay at home -mom and breastfeeding my other son and spending a lot of time in the couch, I realized I can have some entertainment at the same time :) so I ordered Netflix for a one month trial. How fun and easy, I got to say - and with all those tv-shows to choose from guess which one I chose? Friends!! A classic and perfect for today with a not-so-great night with the baby. So today's really a day off and tomorrow l'll do...
