Moving process starts today and introducing Reima online store with big sales!

Image
Good morning! It's rainy today so it's a good day to start our moving process: we're getting the keys to our new home today :) Not too much heavy lifting today but only cleaning and taking some stuff - slowly moving, that's our strategy :) The actual movers come on tuesday so that's the first night we'll be spending at our new home. Very exciting! I had my pregnancy week 35 check up at a doctor's office on friday, and everything seems still fine. And even though everything still fine and it doesn't seem that real that I'll be going into labor anytime soon, that still means I might be going - it could happen anytime from now on until my due date. That's reality. She suggested I'd take it easy from now on but..that's easier to be said than done - I'll rest more after we're done with the move. Unless I'm in labor next week ;) Please, keep your fingers crossed for me! Baby weighs about 2,7 kg so he's ready what comes to his...

Boozt.com Summer sale starts tomorrow!!

Hey you all! It's been a hectic week so far, full of packing since we're moving next week. Actually, we get to move on saturday - that's when we get to have the keys to our new home. Exciting!! And get to clean all weekend, not that exciting ;) Almost all of my kitchen ware is packed and in boxes ready to be moved but still so much more to do. L has a slight flu so let's hope he wont get it next week - that week is just booked. Baby's still in place and let's hope he'll stay there until the due date, and I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, which I mentioned earlier so let's hope baby will stay put for at least for another week or two. I had my baby shower on monday and it was really nice to see everyone. I got like 5 bags of baby clothes so we're set now :) My husband has a job interview as we speak so let's keep our fingers crossed!! I really hope he'll get this one but if not, he'll keep on trying. We're also going to see...

Pregnancy week 35: maternity leave just began

Image
Good morning, everyone! What a beautiful morning it is! It's nice and sunny here in Helsinki - can't believe this is the last week we'll live in this house. We're moving a week from tomorrow, how exciting! My maternity leave also just started and now I'm going on week 35 on my pregnancy. This week I'll have a doctor's appointment - last one before labor, yikes!! It all seems more and more real now, and it's very exciting (and scary, too, in someway) to realize our baby can be here any time now. I'm ready - as long as our moving process is near the end after next week ;) Easywalker Duo Now I have time to think (again) about the stroller. Can't decide what to do: I'm leaning towards the double stroller, maybe a Mountain Buggy Duet, but that's still a bit too expensive for me since I'm not sure how long I'd be using it. 700€ for a used one is a bit on the expensive side if you ask me, and that's what they've been asking...

Buying new baby gear - comparing used ones

Hello everyone! What a night we had..L woke up at 4 am, crying and wanting to have milk. Not sure exactly what he had or if it was just a nightmare, but I god - I'm so tired!! It usually takes up to 1 hour before he goes back to sleep and that's a bit too much for us parents: we're exhausted in the morning. Strong coffee all day long - that's how we cope :) Baby gear..and talking about strollers, again My blog is mainly about baby gear because I'm a huge fan of everything concerning those little ones. You've probably noticed that already ;) Strollers, baby clothes, accessories, bags, even breastpumps - I get really excited of those! I actually sold my used Phil&Teds Sport -stroller yesterday so now I really get to have a new one. Why I sold them after I really wanted them in..february? I realized I wont need them because L is getting bigger and bigger each day (yes, surprise) and what we really need is a sturdy, Emmaljunga or Brio -kind of 4-wheeled s...

Introducing Weranna's home decor webshop

Hello everyone! It's a new week - my last one at work (for now) before my maternity leave starts, as I mentioned earlier. I was going through different websites to find something new to my new home - home decor, new patio furniture, accessories to bathroom and stuff like that. I always want to buy something different but then I end up going to Ikea ;) There's nothing wrong with that but I'd like to see different kinda stuff at my house from everyone else's. Anyway, here's a suggestion for you if you'd like to check this site out. Maybe you'll find something different to your home? So that being said, I want to introduce Werannas's  to everyone. It's a webshop specialized in home decor, and their shop has stuff for example for children's room and cooking & dining. Their site looks promising what comes to colours and new ideas so I'm gonna take my time next week when I really have more time and check it out more carefully. How about t...

Children's summer clothes on sale at Ellos and pregnancy week 34 begins

Pregnancy week 34 just started today and my last week at work starts tomorrow. Five more days until my maternity leave!! Next week will be full of very last meetings, writing everything down for my substitute, having a goodbye party..kinda sad but also a relief since this spring hasn't been the best healthwise. And also, very exciting to actually start waiting for the new baby: he can arrive anytime, it's not too early anymore :) Although, let's hope he wont..I'm not ready yet (the move, remember). I'm also planning on seeing my best girlfriends in a week from tomorrow. We don't get to see each other that often anymore since many of us have kids and jobs but our friendship has lasted more than 20 years so these girls are very important to me. Very excited of that too! I have a feeling it's gonna be a babyshower but I hope they wont put too much effort on it: I'm just happy to see them all. Today was a lazy day for our family. We did go see the hospit...

Saturday fun at Linnanmäki

Good evening, dear reader! Today we had a mother-son -day and L & I headed to Linnanmäki  amusement park. It's been years since I've actually been there - maybe 10 years ago with my two nieces, I think. It was definitely worth going - little L was soooo excited and he didn't even argue at all over anything which is quite something :) I was a bit worried before going there that he would make a scene when it was time to leave but no. He was like a little angel, loving it!! He's still quite young so we didn't get to experience that many rides but a few and really, he was just so happy and excited!! That really made my day, too. I was a bit worried of how I would 'survive' with all the walking but only a few contractions during the day and nothing too bad. We needed this, especially since the baby will be here next month. L needs to know nothing major will change and he'll always be my baby, as well :) Other than that experience, I made my own sorbe...
