Battle of the double-strollers and the winner is..

Hey y'all! As the title reveals, I've been - once again - on a hunt for the perfect double-stroller. I know, I've been blogging about it for ages and switched and then went back and forth...several times. Anyway, long story short, my favorite of them all is Easywalker duo . I've tried Bugaboo donkey duo , Mountain buggy duet , and many different versions/models of Phil & Teds . These all are great ones but my criteria why Easywalker won this battle are: - Kids sit next to each other (that rules out P&T models) - it's narrow enough to fit main doors (about 75 cm wide, 100 cm long) - it has big tires (this rules out Mountain Buggy duet) - it costs from 100-300€ as second hand (this rules out Bugaboo donkey duo, for an obvious reason) - it's roomy for even a bigger kid - my now 3,5 year old didn't fit in a Bugaboo donkey duo And that is all! What really is important to me is that my kids fit in the stroller, is easy to push (has an adjustable ha...

Baby learned to sleep through the night

Good morning! I've been up since 5.50 am, thanks to the fact our baby/little toddler finally learned to sleep in his own bed (yay!) so I sleep really well now, too. No more tossing and turning in the night and wake up super tired in the morning. This is awesome! A little over a year ago I posted a blog about our older child and how he didn't sleep that well so we had to go through a sleeping school . Well, that worked for some time (he was 11 months when we went to sleeping school) but he went back to his old, bad habits of not sleeping at night when he was around 1,5-2 year old. So that's why I was a bit worried of how I'd cope with it with a new baby but it turned out babies can be totally different. Our little guy, aka baby, learned to sleep in his own bed, from 9pm-6am in just 3 nights!! I'm still a bit surprised, in a good way of course, that how easily that transformation from sleeping in our bed to sleeping through the night in his own bed went. I think ...

New wheeled board from Lekmer

Hello! Time flies and it's already mid-august. As many of you've noticed, I've been addicted to strollers and especially to double strollers - and I've switched those many many times :) Now that my older son is at the day care during naptime - which was the only reason I chose to keep those and switch for a stroller and wheeled board -combo for good - we really don't need one anymore. Basically, we just use our old Emmaljunga Nitro City all the time and our double stroller, Phil & Teds Vibe, spends a lot of time alone. So, that means it's time to shop :) Lekmer has a really good selection of wheeled boards, especially the one with a seat, and the cheapest one I found on the market. Bumprider sit , that is. I know, I had this one before and it didn't quite work at that time because my older son was just too young for it. Now that he's starting to skip naptime during the weekends but needs a seat every now and then, I decided it's time to orde...

Best of Sunny Beach, Bulgaria

Image
Hi you all! It's been so long since I wrote the last time so I decided now's the perfect time for that :) We've been back from Sunny Beach , Bulgaria for 2 weeks already and we're finally getting back to the normal life. Our trip there was fantastic - great weather, good food and kids loved plus we all stayed healthy that whole trip - but it was exhausting at the same time. Travelling with two little ones can be that but overall it was a good trip and I can highly recommend it for everyone. Life is a beach - beach life :) Food is good and the portions are big enough (our restaurant bill varied from 30-50 BGN which is roughly divided by 2 in euros - cheap!) And those restaurant bills always included drinks (beer, wine and huge juice for our toddler). I think I only spent 360€ in two weeks, not bad at all! Food! The beaches are nice too and safe enough for little swimmers to go to. Some parts of the beach had quite big waves but we always headed towards...

Sunny beach

Greetings from sunny beach, Bulgaria! Our first week is already behind us and 6 more days to go :) kids love it - the beach is great if you go little further away from all the noisy people, people love kids and they have playgrounds is most restaurants and food is amazing. More later, beach is calling :) happy weekend, everyone!

An extra discount code at Pinkorblue and getting ready for midsummer

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I wrote last time but you know - life's hectic with two kids :) It's midsummer here in Finland and it was pouring just an hour ago! And now it's sunny again. Weird weather, I say. As always, I'm thinking about our summer vacation and still debating on which stroller we're taking with us. As for now, there's a really good deal going on at Pinkorblue meaning they have a 7% discount code on already discounted products. It's not valid for every single product (check out the link) but for the most part it's a great one. For example, they have Baby jogger city tour stroller (similar in size with Babyzen yoyo or Mountain Buggy Nano) for 295€ (certain colours) plus you'll get that 7% off. Great deal, I think! Okay, once I get in to writing mode, my youngest son - who by the way turned 1 year old - needs me asap. So I got to go. Thank god I have a massage tonight cause my poor back is hurting again - even thoug...

Introducing inexpensive Carena Kobbe Lux travel stroller

Image
You know me and my never ending journey to find that perfect, smaller than smallest, travel stroller. I've tried a few so I'm kinda hesitating on ordering a new one so my journey continues. The bottom line is that I'm not gonna spend more than 300€ for this stroller so that kinda limits my search - all the best ones do cost more than that. Then I found this one, Carena Kobbe Lux travel stroller, as I went through the selection of Lekmer. This one, a lux one (they do have a cheaper basic one but I like this colour better) has: - a handle bar for the kid, - a faux leather handle bar for the one pushing the stroller, - it doesn't weigh a lot (6,9 kg), - it's small in size (as folded) 52,5 x 45,5 x 23,5 cm (you can basically take this in the airplane with you, as handluggage that is) - a child up to 18kg is able to use it (compared to most travel strollers with a weigh limit of 15 kg) - it's handle-bar is 104 cm (compared to Mountain buggy nano  which is 98c...
