Summer vacation in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria
We've finally agreed on our summer vacation and our destination will be Sunny Beach in Bulgaria :) We really went through all the options out there but realized we don't anything else than a good hotel (a decent one is not an option with 2 kids) that has activities for kids and adults too, walking distance from the beach, a mall and sun. Not too much sun, of course even though it might get super warm here too. And we're sorta on a budget this summer since I'm not working currently so saving money on something is a big bonus.
The hotels we looked for, do need to have a playground for kids, restaurant(s) and they do need to offer a shuttle service to/from the airport. We also need a bigger hotelroom so the kids have enough room to play and a small kitchen area to prepare breakfast and snacks for the kids if they need. A microwave is a must since I need to warm the milk for my baby and prepare morning and evening porridge for him as well.
We also decided we're gonna book our hotel and flights separately because you can easily find a 4* hotel and flights and save as much as 1000€ instead of using a package deal from a travel agency. We're currently looking for a hotel through Booking and boy oh boy do they have a selection of different hotels! From hostels to 5* hotels with an all inclusive deals, there's definitely a range for everyone to choose from.
So 14 days in a hotel will cost us around 700-1000€, plus cheap flights will be around the same. Not too bad for 4 people, 14 days and sun almost guaranteed! I can recommend our choice to everyone else too :) Let's get this family vacation started!
